Yisroel and I arrived in Israel on Monday, February 9th. The day ended with my luggage going to Barcelona, Spain! So we made our journey to the Jerusalem Mall to get some needed necessities for me.

This experience reminded me of why it is so important for American’s to understand the trouble in the Middle East. We arrived at the mall parking lot where we were greeted by a security guard who searched each car before it could enter. We then went through security monitors before walking into the doors of the mall. We passed all security, yippee!

Now, one may ask why do Americans need to understand this? We need to understand this because the same terrorists who have gone into several of Israel’s malls and blown themselves up in order to kill Jews, is planning to do the same to America!

I believe when we are armed with knowledge and experience we can then impact our nation’s leaders to do more to protect us. We also will inspire leaders of our community gathering areas to understand what is at risk if we don’t learn from Israel.

As I walk the mall I notice that not only Jews shop here, but a large Arab community as well. I see Jewish women standing in lines with Arab women and laughing! Our media says that Jewish Israelis are oppressors to the
Arabs, but from my experience I would say it’s quite the opposite.

Israel must protect themselves, but they are a people of love and with that, they can stand in a store checkout line together and laugh.

In order to truly understand why America must be involved with Israel, one must come and experience the Heart of Israel!

Today is election day! It’s considered a vacation day for Israel so people can go and vote. The patriotism here is unbelievable. It’s 5:30 pm and 42 % of the people have already voted! Polls close at 10PM and I’m off now to watch the voting process with Yisroel.

Please consider joining me on a trip to Israel and learn why average American’s must be educated. Books are great and the news will tell you some truth, but an actual experience will really teach you!
